The National Cancer Institute is a tertiary Agency of the Mexican Health Department, which provides specialized medical care to cancer patients, in addition to being a reference center and the governing body of cancer prevention and treatment in Mexico.
Its focus is the treatment of patients not entitled to social security, from around the country, and it has an institutional policy to provide services with efficiency, quality and warmth, with a multidisciplinary approach to process diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and monitoring. In addition to the provision of care, the National Cancer Institute functions as a center for medical education and research.
